Josh Krajcik, the rock singer/songwriter who came in second place on “The X Factor” U.S. in 2011, has announced that he is recording his 2012 album. And three of his collaborators are award-winning songwriters/producers Steve Kipner, Julian Bunetta and Andrew Frampton.
What do Kipner, Bunetta and Frampton have in common, besides working with Krajcik? They have also had successful collaborations with singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield.
Frampton is the head of Phonogenic Records, a Sony Music affiliate whose artist roster includes Bedingfield and rock band The Script. Frampton has been a producer and songwriter on most of Bedingfield’s songs. Kipner and Bunetta co-wrote and co-produced Bedingfield’s song “Touch.”
Out of these three songwriters/producers, Kipner has the most experience. He is a songwriter and/or producer of a slew of hits that go back to the 1980s. Some of his most well-known songs include Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical,” “Twist of Fate” and “Heart Attack”; Wilson Phillips’ “Impulsive”; 98 Degrees’ “The Hardest Thing”; Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle”; The Script’s “Breakeven”; and Cheryl Cole’s “Fight for This Love.”
“Workin on great ideas with @julianbulian @amf19 and @stevekipner”
“In the studio writing with great songsmiths @stevekipner and @amf19″
“The X Factor” executive producer Simon Cowell has said that Krajcik will get a Sony Music deal. It has not yet been announced which Sony Music label is signing Krajcik, but it will most likely be Columbia Records or RCA Records.
As previously reported, Krajcik is doing a Pepsi-sponsored concert with former “X Factor” U.S. contestants Rachel Crow and Stacy Francis on the weekend of January 28, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. “The X Factor” U.S. judge Paula Abul is hosting the event. More details are to be announced.

I am delighted for Josh. I have no doubt that he will reach success over and above what he has long awaited. He is going to soar. It probably worked out for him in the end. He’ll be around when others have gone by the wayside. I can’t wait for his recordings so I don’t have to play his tunes from the show over and over. He’s just so darn good! I’m old enough to be his Grandmother but have always enjoyed different genres of music but his is magic. I would love to hear him do some of Ray Charles old tunes ex: Am I Blue from The Genius Sings The Blues. Anxiously awaiting for his coming out and wish him nothing but success in the future. Hope you will keep us posted.
There was never a doubt that you would get an incredible deal! I am anxiously awaiting your first albumn and seeing more of you.
By the way, you stole the show completely with your last night, No one could come close to your singing!
ESTOY DE ACUERDO CON CAROL….VAMOS JOSH….SOS EXCELENTE…Y EL MUNDO VA A SABER DE TI….FUERZA…ARRIBA…..ÉXITOS….
I’m truly amazed with your talent Josh, for me it was always you or Melanie; you were great. I’m waiting on your album to be delighted as usual with your voice and soul. God Bless you
For the last 15+ years I have not purchased or listened to any “new music/singers”.
Josh is a true artist – I will be forever listening to you along with all my favorite oldies but goodies. (old R & B, soul, old rock and roll and yes – some old country music).
Josh – you are just amazing – the music pours from your heart and soul – not only do you have a beautiful voice – your interpretation is flawless. You don’t need over engineered studio gimmicks or light shows and dancers like most of the “music” (in quotes because it barely qualified as music) put out today.
Wish you all the luck and opportunity that you so deserve.
AT LAST – a true talent
I live in Israel and want to hear you more. please go ahead with the songs cause i want to buy one.
This is so cool. Josh was wanting 5 million dollars and recording contract but hey, this is his dream to record. Millions will be sold.
Josh, you’ve inspired me on the X Factor too.
Right now I’m looking at Season 1 Episode 26 (the finals) and have not seen who won yet but found that you are recording with Natasha Bedinfield. Congrats.
Much Success.
I have been patiently waiting for Josh’s album to come out. I too am old enough to be Josh’s Grandmother and from the 60′s and over the years, have heard, and enjoyed all genres of music. But very few people have made me cry when I have listened to them sing. And Josh is one of them. I truly believe he could become USA’S Elton John. I will be at one of his concerts!!
